The ALA-accredited Master of Library and Information Science online master's program is available entirely online with real-time chats required. A supplemental endorsement for school library media specialists is also available online (at both the graduate and undergraduate levels), as well as a graduate certificate in archives and special collections. Program participants have the opportunity to earn a dual master's degree in LIS and anthropology, LIS and history, or LIS and political science. (Separate admission to the dual discipline is required, and only the LIS portion is online.) Our online programs currently charge in-state tuition for online courses with a modest additional per-course fee. Visit www.usm.edu/bizserv to review student expenses.
